Being an older person who dislikes the constant gifs posted in chat, I’d like to see a way to have a chat exchange without the many gifs interrupting the flow of conversations. Perhaps a limit in the number of gifs a person can post per minute or a way for users to turn off gifs totally in chat?

Another idea is a chat area free of gifs and restricted by the age categories so the more mature acting individuals can chat without the interruptions of younger (or older) people they have no interest in seeing their immaturity.

Hi 420Friendly,

we are already on it and there follow a couple new chatrooms with different topics.

We will discuss this and consider to deactivate the gifs in some of the new rooms.

I can see friendly420's point that in some cases the number of GIFs in chat can become excessive and with a poor internet connection it can really slow down your chat.

I also agree that a safe for work chat with no or limited GIFs would be very useful for some people.

I will however argue hard the other way as well.

Where you see immaturity friendly420 I see exploration, sharing and emotion which cannot be summed up in words or emojies quickly.

Alot of people are brought here by the toys but through chat and most importantly the GIFs explore sides of themselves that they hide or can't share with others around them IRL. Gauging people's reactions to GIFs you can approach people with similar interests and discuss the topic helping them explore their kinks further and sharing experiences to create friendships.

Those friends then know when others are feeling down or need cheering up and post their favourite GIFs or funny / cute memes. The laughter and attention lifts them and cheers them up which is more difficult with just text.

And finally if you had a setting where you were in chat but saw no GIFs, you would miss half the conversation and the chat would not flow from your perspective. People react off each others GIFs and respond in kind with their own gifts. People use them to show they are happy, displeased or sad. It's what makes this chat so friendly and welcoming so it would be a shame to stop that side of chat and effectively make it a lot less friendly place.
