Please note that the last line is use of the colloquial phrase, and not meant to imply that someone is not a woman if they do not lose their virginity. This poem was written ages ago and has just resurfaced. Tried to think of something similar that might have the same effect, but couldn't think of one. Suggestions are welcome...
"Supposed To"
She was supposed to feel pain,
supposed to hurt,
supposed to bleed a bit,
supposed to feel every agonizing
THRUST
of his - penetrating her
deeper
and
deeper.
But instead...
she felt ecstasy.
She enjoyed feeling him
invade her body
as they fused into one being.
She was supposed to worry
about disease,
about pregnancy,
about every imaginable problem
that might occur.
But all she could think about was
how grand it felt
to be treated like a queen...
nay...
a Goddess.
And as they melted into the night,
she sighed her last virgin breath as she became...
a woman.
Great poetry 😘
