Yes, it was a rather dramatic title, I know. But I come today to talk about something I've recently learned and that is that you can actually confuse love with desire. And I'm not talking about desiring someone you like, no. I'm talking literally making up affection for someone to justify the fact you'd like to sleep with them. And no, I don't mean to just cuddle.

So here are a few tips if you'd like to make sure it's actual love before you bang your best friend or co-worker. I'll let you guess which one I did.

1. Do you like them when they're not looking cute? If you only like them when they're dolled up or in all black then it's not love. It's lust. 

2. Have you thought to yourself, is it worth the risk? If you're wondering, then it's not. Your brain will try to make you notice that something isn't right by giving you all these worst case scenarios. If it was love you'd just go for it.

3. Ask yourself. What if we just banged? If you can go back to normal after a wild ride with someone then it's not love. It's lust and there's nothing wrong with a tangle in the sheets as long as both parties are happy with the arrangements. 

So take it from someone who DID NOT listen to herself and did the thing and now regrets it. Not because of the bang but because of the made up feelings that just complicated things. 

Although:

4. What if they're bad in bed and it was all for nothing? Yep, that's a possibility too. Trust me, it is.

Anyway, use this knowledge wisely and tell me if you've ever had a problem of this sort. Also, try and guess if it was my BFF or a coworker hehe.
